Craft & Calling is a one-to-one mentoring engagement for authors, oracle and tarot deck creators, astrologers, and symbolic practitioners developing substantial work.
Bring a manuscript, deck, teaching project, or developing body of thought. We'll clarify its structure and direction, strengthen the logic behind it, and identify the next decisions needed to move the work forward.
Who it’s for
Craft & Calling is for people who already have a body of knowledge or a substantial idea, and need experienced guidance to shape it into coherent, publishable, or teachable work.
It may suit you if you're:
· Developing a non-fiction manuscript or specialist book.
· Building an oracle or tarot deck and its companion guidebook.
· Clarifying the framework, voice, or structure behind your astrology or symbolic practice.
· Turning complex ideas into work that readers, students, or clients can understand and use.
How the mentoring works
The engagement runs over 90 days and includes:
· Project review before the first session: your outline and up to two sample chapters, teaching materials, or a deck prototype.
· Three private 45-minute mentoring sessions, usually scheduled about a month apart.
· Between-session support for focused questions and agreed strategic feedback. The channel, response window, and reasonable scope are confirmed at the outset.
· Guidance tailored to the project, which may include structure, coherence, symbolic logic, authorial voice, positioning, and the needs of your intended audience.
What we can work on
For authors: the structure and argument of a manuscript, the relationship between ideas and reader experience, and the development of a distinctive voice.
For deck creators: the system behind the deck, consistency of categories and symbolism, and the clarity and usability of the companion guidebook.
For astrologers and symbolic practitioners: the framework, language, and organisation of your work, and how to communicate its distinctive contribution.
Scope
Craft & Calling focuses on development, structure, and strategic refinement. It does not include line editing, proofreading, or full manuscript assessment. Developmental editing may be available separately by invitation.
Investment & Timing
$995 AUD, paid in full before commencement.
All three sessions take place within a 90-day period. This is a focused engagement with a defined beginning and end.
